Mini is supposed to be cheaper, stripped version of the larger and superior gadgets. There's been a long list of larger and superior siblings for Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 to choose from but the own legs to stand on.

Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 official photos

Galaxy Mini is, therefore, the last shake off the bag. It will never rub shoulders with big and scary smartphones. But it's not everything bad you know. IT's the right type of device for smartphone beginner. A good choice if you just don t want to spend a lorry-load of money on a smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 review: Ace in the hole

Samsung Galaxy ACE can go a long way with a name like this, but it isn t that goes slightly longer than its convenient midrange site. You know, if you want the best seat in the House, you must move the cat. Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 is a feline droid black cat in Samsung's Android portfolio. And it spells bad luck for competitive mid-range droids is a force to be reckoned with in the world's smartphones.

Samsung S5830 Galaxy Ace official photos

With that kind of specifications, was Galaxy Ace gone for a high-end phone for some time now. So if your processing power and screen estate, haven t have risen sharply over the past year or so, Ess serves you well.

In fact with Froyo on a 800 MHz processor, good connection and screen size and resolution that was good enough for the first three iPhone, Samsung Galaxy Ace looks good.

The only drawback with the package is QVGA @ 15 fps video. That may be acceptable on a low-end dumbphone, but depressing in a mid-level Android.

Here's what is going on Ace's spec sheet.

Quad-band GSM and dual-band 3 G support 7.2 Mbps HSDPA support 3.5-inch 16 M color TFT LCD touchscreen in HVGA capacitive (320 x 480 pixels) resolution 800 MHz ARM 11 processor, Adreno 200 GPU, Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset. 278 MB of RAM available for userAndroid OS v2.2 (Froyo) with TouchWiz 3.0 UI customizationSwype text input5 MP autofocus camera with LED flash. Geo tagging, face and smile detectionQVGA @ 15fps videomicroSD card slot (up to 32 GB, 2 GB in the box), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and DLNAGPS with A-GPS connectivity. Digital Compass microUSB port (fees), and stereo Bluetooth v2.1 Standard 3.5 mm audio jackDNSe sound enhancementFM radio with RDS document editor File manager pre-installed Samsung Apps gives some nice apps for freeAccelerometer and proximity sensor recording QVGA video Dis group @ 15 fps, no shutter key for cameraNo support for Adobe Flash in the web browserNo ambient light sensorNo DivX/Xvid video support in box

So, the video is not good, but still the camera should do pretty well. Samsung's refined TouchWiz 3.0 with document editor and file manager of the box, get good scores for Galaxy Ace too.

The phone is quite compact and we would like in particular to new a rubbery textured reverse side. There's nothing to be concerned in terms of ergonomics and pocketability, but these definitely iPhone-ish look a little dubious.

Samsung S5830 Galaxy Ace live shots

That's about all we can tell just by looking over the phone and it's the second time we meet the Samsung Ace. You can also remember our quick preview from a while back. IT's now time to see how Samsung Galaxy Ace are ready for the real world and we are starting with the hardware.

Samsung I9003 Galaxy SL review: through different eyes

Success begets imitations and we have the next Galaxy's remake to testify. But make no mistake about this Samsung Galaxy I9003 SL is not just a clone. This time, the changes aren't just for the skin depth.

Samsung I9003 Galaxy SL official photos

We are discussing a new monitor, a new CPU and another battery. Although it's actually difficult to notice a difference on the outside, save for a slightly thicker. Most of the internals have in principle been replaced, which may or may not have resulted in a significant change in the user experience.

Quad-band GSM and tri-band 3 G supports 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps support 4 "16 M colors, Super clear LCD Capacitive Touch screen of WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution Slim 10.9 mm profile1GHz Cortex A8 CPU, GPU PowerVR SGX530, TI OMAP 3630 chipset. 478 MB RAM available for MP camera with autofocus user5 with face, smile and blink detection, 720 p HD video recording at 30 fps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g and n support GPS with A-GPS connectivity. Digital Compass 16 GB internal storage, microSD card slot Accelerometer and proximity sensor, Standard 3.5 mm audio jack secondary video call camera microUSB port (fees), and stereo Bluetooth v3.0 Android OS v2.2 (Froyo) with TouchWiz UI customization FM radio with RDS Adobe Flash 10.1 support for web browser document editor File manager comes pre-installed Samsung Apps gives some nice apps for freeBattery have increased capacity (1650 mAh) during the original Galaxy S (1500 mAh) Super clear LCD is something worse than SuperAMOLEDCamera does not have a dedicated camera flashNo central body in all-plastic is a real fingerprint magnet Feeble loudspeaker increased thickness (10.6 mm), height (123.7 mm) and weight (131 g) compared to the original Galaxy S (9.9 mm, 165.2 mm and 119 g)

Samsung Galaxy I9003 SL is a victim of the time. It couldn't have been less fortunate to follow in the footsteps of the original Galaxy's knowing it will never be able to catch up. At least the Samsung should know very well what you expect.

This is not the first flagship they re forced by circumstances, legitimately to replace. Much as S8530 Wave II is I9003 more of a substitute, rather than an upgrade. You can think I9003 SL as a way to ensure that there will be enough AMOLED panels for Galaxy S2 without having to interrupt the original Galaxy's altogether.

Samsung Galaxy SL on our I9003

AMOLED shortage is experienced for at least another simultaneously and Samsung is trying to work around it. We'll have to see how this plays the next attempt. I9003 has a lot of people to convince the it's a good enough substitute. Users have every right to be sceptical. It will take a lot of persuasion, so they don't spend their money elsewhere.

So let s see if there's life after SuperAMOLED for Galaxy SL.

Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 Preview: Search

Mini phones are a hot commodity. They are desirable and fill a gap in the market of small, easy to carry out devices, which can lift mountains, in spite of its size. Samsung now want to have a go on the market with Galaxy Mini S5570.

Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 official photos

Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 are expected to be quite affordable for what it has to offer and that's always a good thing. Power-hungry device is an ARMv6 600 Mhz, which doesn't sound like such a great deal, but with Froyo 2.2 on top, it's sufficient for daily use.

Here's a list of the Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 are offered.

Generic HSDPA 7 .2Mbps,. 900/2100 Mhz, EDGE/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 Mhz form factor: touchscreen phone dimensions: (110) 4 x 56.8 x 12.1 mm, 105 g Display: 3.2 Capacitive touchscreen. QVGA (240 x 320) pixel resolution CPU: ARMv6 processor at 600 Mhz OS: 2.2.1 Android (Froyo) memory: 160 MB storage, 384 MB RAM, substitution of the microSD card slot (up to 16 GB) camera: 3 megapixel camera fixed focus connection: Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, standard microUSB port, GPS receiver with A-GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack Misc: FM radio, built-in accelerometer, proximity sensor, Fender Keychain tuner predictive input method, a social hub

You can see the great compromise in specification sheet is the screen resolution. Android looks bad QVGA screens. Samsung has made some changes to the sub pixel fonts and icons to make them look good and more readable on the Galaxy Mini but we think that will remain our primary reluctance with your phone.

On the positive side, will the compromise may also mean that Galaxy Mini be among the most affordable Android smartphones on the market.

Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 live shots

Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 feels good in hand. It has a slim profile and materials used are pleasant to touch.

We are pleased to be a beta test drive and then it's an early prototype, it's not quite ready for prime time so we'll make only a quick preview of the device instead of a full-fledged review.

Preview or not, you'll find a proper hardware and software inspection on the pages that follow.
